Edoardo Bianchi began working at a very young age and in 1885, just twenty years old, he opened his first workshop. [/vc_custom_heading][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=”p” text_size=”fontsize-751231″ text_weight=”500″ uncode_shortcode_id=”969583″]The first shop and workshop[/vc_custom_heading][vc_single_image media=”173951″ media_width_percent=”100″ media_ratio=”three-two” media_title_uppercase=”” uncode_shortcode_id=”734809″][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=”p” text_size=”fontsize-933420″ text_weight=”400″ uncode_shortcode_id=”155640″]The premises he rented in Via Nirone were a stone’s throw from the center of Milan. He sold velocipedes but also “surgical instruments” in what the sign announced was a Mechanical Workshop, because the bikes were only a part of the objects that were inside. In the century that was ending, the first velocipede challenges began.

And Bianchi was already a protagonist. In 1899 came the first international victory of a Bianchi bicycle: in the saddle, under the finish line of the Grand Prix de Paris, was Gian Fernando Tommaselli. That first winner would also become the first CEO of Bianchi, as if to announce an already close relationship with the racing world that became part of Bianchi’s history.[/vc_custom_heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=”0″ override_padding=”yes” h_padding=”2″ top_padding=”2″ bottom_padding=”0″ overlay_alpha=”100″ gutter_size=”3″ column_width_percent=”100″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ content_parallax=”0″ row_height_use_pixel=”” uncode_shortcode_id=”192299″ container_limit_width=”772px”][vc_column column_width_use_pixel=”yes” gutter_size=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ medium_width=”0″ zoom_width=”0″ zoom_height=”0″ width=”1/1″][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=”p” text_size=”fontsize-751231″ text_weight=”500″ uncode_shortcode_id=”169841″]Gian Fernando Tommaselli[/vc_custom_heading][vc_single_image media=”173952″ media_width_percent=”100″ media_ratio=”three-two” media_title_uppercase=”” uncode_shortcode_id=”910151″][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=”p” text_size=”fontsize-933420″ text_weight=”400″ uncode_shortcode_id=”153244″]Edoardo Bianchi did not stop pedaling and pushed harder and harder, so much so that he was already at the second move because the space needs grew more and more as the demands of bicycles. For some it was a necessity, for other sports, for Edoardo Bianchi the world of cycling was passion and also curiosity in mechanics and in 1897 he also experimented with a vehicle with an internal combustion engine. A good and far-sighted choice: motor vehicles with our brand would have been produced until the sixties.

The passion spread and Bianchi was already a recognized name that climbed climbs and society. Even the king and queen of Italy were intrigued by this pedal vehicle that seemed to take you so far without too much effort. They quickly became passionate and it was Edoardo Bianchi who put them in the saddle who personally followed them on their first pedal strokes. His effort was well rewarded since Bianchi became “supplier of the Royal House”. The brand grew more and more, so much so that in 1907 the economic crisis did not prevent the birth of the joint-stock company called Società Anonima Edoardo Bianchi, which thus reached 400 employees.

Bianchi had seen the bicycle transformed and contributed to the development.
